Inlays
One of several solutions to major cavities in otherwise healthy
teeth, inlays fill the space remaining after the removal of the
decayed portion of your tooth. Unlike a filling, this procedure
is mostly done outside the patient's mouth, ensuring a comfortable
experience leading to healthier teetth.

Dr. Nukk removes the decayed material from your tooth. The cavity
walls are then shaped to prepare for the inlay. Then an impression
is taken of the prepared tooth from which a mold is made. The inlay
is custom-shaped using the mold so that it perfectly fits your mouth,
and is made of gold, silver amalgom, or tooth-colored porcelain or
resin. It is then cemented and sealed into place to fill the prepared
tooth. An onlay is prepared the same way,
but covers the tips of the teeth or otherwise supports the tips.
Because inlays
and onlays are done outside of your mouth
and can be made to match the color of your teeth, they are a painless
and comfortable way to a long-lasting, healthier smile.
